[40] Makayla Adams Jirik, 41, of Topeka, died Thursday, July 29, 2010, at Stormont-Vail Hospital, due to health complications. She was surrounded by her family. Makayla was born October 19, 1968 in Wichita, KS, the daughter of Howard S. and Diana Adams. She was preceded in death by her father, Howard S. Adams, Sept. 8, 2005. She is survived by her daughter, Tiffany Jirik; mother, Diana Adams; brothers,David and Thomas Adams; sister, Jamie Adams; grandmother, Lorraine Sigel; five nephews and four nieces. Graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, August 2, 2010 at Mt. Hope Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Topeka Rescue Mission, P.O. Box 8350, Topeka, KS 66608-0350.

Coroner W.H. Hinklin Is Called This Morning----The Deceased Leaves a Widowand Five Chidren----Is Sixty-Six Years of Age and Resides South of Agosta.
Agosta, O.,June 10. [ Special. ]
Alonzo Orr aged sixty-six years, fell dead in his wagon as he was driving in from a field of the Croft Bauer farm, south of here, this morning about 7:30 o'clock. Mr. Baure and Mr. Orr had been workingin the field and were returning to the house, when Mr. Bauer stopped and went to a near by well, while Orr drove on to the barn, where a little later his body was found across the front of the wagon.
Orr's body was found soon after death occured by Mr. Bauer. While enroute to the barn, Bauer saw Orr's hat where a turn was made in the road, and he immediately went in search of him.
Coroner W. H. Hinklin, of Marion, was immediately was summoned, as was also Dr. S. M. Hesser, of LaRue. Heart trouble is given as the cause of death. Aside from his widow and a son, Alva, who reside at home, three daughters and a son reside in Marion county, together with a daughter, Mrs. Richard Carey, of Akron.Those residing in Marion are: Mrs. Andrew Payne, Elijah Orr, Mrs. Harry Carey, and Mrs. Lona Chapman.
Mr. Orr had been a resident of this vicinity for many years and was widely known. He made his home about one mile south of Agosta. The Baure farm, where he was working, is located about one mile southeast of here.
The funeral arrangments have not yet been completed.
