James Norfleet (Pops) Pounders, 76, of Victoria, died May 11, 2009 at his home.
He was retired from I.C. Railroad and a member of Meadow Brook Baptist Church in Desoto County, a 32nd degree Scottish Rite Mason, a member of Byhalia Masonic Lodge No. 115, past Worthy Patron of Byhalia Chapter No. 396, order of Eastern Star.
Services were held at 10 a.m. on May 14 at Forest Hill South Funeral Home Chapel. Burial was in Oak Hill Cemetery in Water Valley.
He leaves his wife of 32 years, Mary Ann Pounders; three daughters, Brenda Pounders, Marilyn Edmonson, both of Houston, Debra Willard of Pontotoc; a sister, Patricia Horn of Pottsville, Tx.; eight grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
