[48] SHULL Homer E. Shull, Sr., age 93, of Somerset, OH passed away Saturday, October 29, 2011 at his home. Homer was born on May 7, 1918 in Gahanna, OH and was raised on Cherry Bottom Road; he was the sonto the late Otto and Rebecca Shull. Homer was also preceded in death by five sisters and three brothers. He served his country proudly in the U.S. Army during WWII. He was a machinist at Clay Craft Brick for many years until his retirement. On May 21, 1945 he married Margaret Foor and had six children together, Homer E. (Janis) Shull, Jr. of Crooksville, OH, Sandy (Stan) Woodside of Rushville, OH, Diane Kellett of Reynoldsburg, OH, Pamela King of Pleasantville, OH, Charles (Sheila) Shull of Somerset, OH and Danny (Kendra) Shull of Somerset, OH. Homer was the proud grandfather of 16 grandchildren and 39 great grandchildren. He also leaves behind a brother, Charles Shull of Columbus, OH; and sister, Willa Mae Kinsel of Somerset, OH. Homer enjoyed fishing, hunting, gardening and woodworking.He and Margaret traveled to Canada once a year for 50 years. Homer was a dedicated husband, proud father and cherished his grandchildren. The family will receive friends on Monday, October 31, 2011 from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. at Schoedinger Northeast Chapel, 1051 E. Johnstown Road, Gahanna, Ohio 43230, where funeral services will be on Tuesday, November 1, 2011 at 1 p.m. Interment follow at Mifflin Township Cemetery.
